Keith Leonhardt, a Connecticut native, is a professional tap dancer and teaching artist who considers himself a disciple to the art of tap dancing. He began his professional training at The Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts with Clare O’Donnell where he now teaches on faculty. He is a graduate of the jazz music program at The University of the Arts of Philadelphia, PA and an alumni of The 2017 Tap Program at The School of Jacob’s Pillow under the direction of Michelle Dorrance and Dormeshia-Sumbry Edwards. He has also studied with tap luminaries such as Dianne Walker, Sam Weber, Ayodele Casel and Jason Bernard. He is currently a company member of CT Tap under the direction of Corey Hutchins.  He has made appearances at The Jacob’s Pillow Inside/Out stage, Artists for World Peace at The Katherine Hepburn Theater, The Ted Hershey Dance and Music Marathon, DFX Entertainment &​ Six Flags New England Shows & Entertainment Department​.

As a teacher and educator Keith is currently on faculty for Jason Warley’s NYC Man in Motion, Sacred Heart University’s Dance Division, The National Association for Dance and Affiliated Arts, The Performing Arts Center of Connecticut, and Rockwell Dance Center where he now serves as the artistic director for the tap program.  Keith is also a current adjudication judge and convention teacher for True Talent Dance Competitions LLC, Rock the City NYC, and The Work It Dance Competition and Convention Tour.
